Reading the label

Compare the active, not the jug.

Two products can carry the same active at different strengths and rates. The fair comparison is what lands on each acre.

Things that catch people out.

Same active doesn't mean same product

Salt form, formulation, adjuvant load and registered uses can all differ. Compare the label, not just the name.

Acid equivalent versus active ingredient

Some actives are listed as acid equivalent (a.e.) and others as total active. Make sure you're comparing the same basis.

"Similar to" isn't "registered for"

A generic is only registered for what's on its own label. Crops, staging and tank mixes can differ from the brand.

Where to check a registration
